A New Prime Minister - and a Reform-Minded Chancellor?
Andy Burnham became PM on 20 July 2026 and appointed John Healey as his Chancellor of the Exchequer. The latter had previously shown considerable interest in Whitehall reform, including co-chairing the 2014- GovernUp programme.
